Sunflower Lime Pate

This is a sweet-tangy blend that can be used as a spread or dip, or even thinned out with some water to make a sauce for grains or veggies.

  • 1⁄2 c Sunflower Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Sweet Miso
  • juice and rind of 2 limes
  • 1 t honey
  • Water

To toast the sunflower seeds, place a heavy frypan over a low heat, then add the seeds, without oil. Stir frequently to  cook evenly, and remove from heat when the seeds turn a nice golden brown.

Blend all ingredients until smooth, adding water for thinning to your desired consistency. Taste for seasoning and adjust if necessary.
